A person charged with an infraction who is eligible and wishes to have the case proceed as a misdemeanor (See Pen. Code §§17(d)(1), 19.8) must make a court appearance before attending traffic school to make that election. By attending traffic school without appearing in court to make that election, the person waives the right to proceed as a misdemeanor.

iDriveSafely is arguably the fastest online traffic school in California as they do not have a course timer. That means you can just skip through each page over and over again until you get to one of the quizzes. Since the quizzes are so simple, you should breeze right through it without having to read anything. If you fail a quiz, don’t even worry about it. You just have to take a different version of it over again. You can’t fail this traffic school so there’s really not much to be worried about. Just make sure you don’t upgrade to their video-based course as the text-based traffic school course will be much faster. Oh, and in case you’re worried, they are a certified course in California, they’ve had more than 5 million people “graduate” from their courses, they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, they offer 24/7/365 live customer support, and you can log in or out of the course whenever you want. So yeah, it’s pretty legit.
100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE Receive a refund for the course as long as you have not passed the final exam. We know our course is the best, which is why we can offer a 100% money back guarantee. Nobody ever asks for it! Most of these schools will give you a refund if you do not complete the course. It is highly unlikely that you will be able to get a refund for a course once you have registered.

If you were cited while driving with a Class A, B or Commercial Class C driver's license, on or after January 1, 2013, but you were not driving a commercial vehicle at the time of the violation, you may attend Traffic School, if eligible. Although the DMV will not assess the point count on your driving record, they will not hold the conviction as confidential and therefore your insurance may be adversely affected.
The California Vehicle Code (see section VC42005 on this state code page ) states that drivers with a commercial driver's license can only attend traffic school if they were not driving a commercial vehicle. Upon completion, the record of conviction will not be held confidential, but the conviction will not add a point count to the DMV record. Drivers with a commercial driver's license are responsible for contacting the DMV Driver Safety Unit at (916) 657-6452  after completion of traffic school, to insure that the DMV does not assess the point against their record.
If you have received a traffic ticket for a moving violation, you are most likely eligible to take our Florida driver improvement course. You may not be eligible if you have already attended a Florida traffic school course to dismiss another traffic citation within the last 12 months of your current traffic citation (unless ordered or allowed to do so by the Court or State). You are required to make arrangements with the court before you begin the traffic school Florida course. The rest is easy. You may take our Florida traffic school course to avoid points on a ticket up to five (5) times in your lifetime (this restriction applies for ticket dismissal only). If you currently hold a Commercial Driver's License, Class A, B, or C, or if you held CDL when the citation was issued, traffic school cannot be used to mask a driving offense per Tennessee Code Annotated §55-10-301(c); Code of Federal Regulations 49 C.F.R. §384.226. This means that State and Federal law mandate that, all traffic violations received by holders of a Commercial Drivers License, with the exception of a parking ticket, must be reported to the State Department of Safety, without exception.
