"Was able to get thru this online course in record time. Format was 4 sections of reading material and a quiz (4 multiple choice questions) at the end of each section. Open book so you can guarantee the right answer. Then a final test of 25 questions, also open book. Much better than going to an instructor-led 8hr class! $5 was all it cost. They had a few add'l upgrades but don't think they're necessary. Thanks 5 Bucks Traffic School for making it relatively pain-free after paying a painfully expensive traffic ticket!"
Your certificate of completion will be processed within three business days from when you complete the course online or when your workbook test is received & graded. We will send your certificate to you via regular mail - it is your responsibility to send your certificate to the court. If your due date is soon approaching, we offer FedEx mailing services for your certificate for an additional charge. You may request this option when you pay for your course.
You may choose to attend Traffic Violator School for a vehicle code violation that is assigned one point only. Violations committed by a pedestrian or a bicyclist are not assigned point counts. To verify whether a violation is assigned a point count, review the Traffic Bail Schedule to be sure you need to attend traffic school. Look up your violation(s) and check the far right column to see if there is a DMV point attached to the violation(s). If you pay the $52 administrative Traffic School fee for committing a violation that is not eligible for Traffic School, the fee will not be refunded.
We electronically process your completion to your court for you after you pass the final exam. Once your court has received and reviewed your completion, they will notify the DMV. The DMV will then mask (hide) the points on your driving record. No one, including insurance companies, will see your ticket. Remember to check with your court 7-10 business days after you complete the course to make sure they have processed your completion!
As a result of taking traffic school, the violation is not added to the point count used for determining negligent operator status and license suspension or revocation. However, as is required by federal law, the California DMV will still disclose the conviction to insurers and for any other purposes required by Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
