At I Drive Safely, we’re dedicated to offering the best online traffic school course with unmatched convenience. Since all of our courses are completely online, all you need is an Internet-ready computer to take them – your classroom is wherever you want it to be, from your living room to your office, even to your local coffee shop. But true convenience is more than just a matter of location. Taking our traffic school online means that you set your own schedule, learning the material at a pace that’s right for you. You can do as much or as little as you like at a time. It's the most hassle-free way to complete your traffic school requirements.
Course Timers Are No Longer Required – Some outdated online traffic schools will have a course timer throughout the course. What does this mean? Basically, you’ll have to stay on each page of the course for a pre-determined amount of time before you can progress forward. This was a state requirement a few years ago but has since been removed. All the state cares about now is that you pass the course and complete all tests and quizzes in a timely manner, so make sure your course does not have these annoying timers.

Everyone knows traffic school is boring and my guess is, you’re not taking this course by choice. Luckily, Improv Traffic School exists. It was created by a group of Hollywood comedians and their main goal was to make the course entertaining by mixing in some comedy. It was a good idea because it worked pretty well! But the heck with that, is it FAST?! Yes, it is. There are no course timers with this online traffic school and they broke it up into 6 simple sections. You can complete it all at once or split it up over time since they keep track of your place. But why split it up when you can have it done in an hour (easily!). If you’re looking for a fast course with some humor mixed in, give this one a try.

Taking a defensive driving class online gives drivers the freedom to complete the course on their time schedule. Students enrolled in a CA internet traffic school can stop and start the course when they want and complete the class in multiple sessions. This gives drivers the ability to finish the course at whatever speed they need. GoToTrafficSchool offers a driver improvement course that is equivalent to the eight hour in -person course. The course is not timed, however, so students may even be able to complete the course sooner. Furthermore, students taking traffic classes through GoToTrafficSchool have an additional attempt to complete the online course if they do not pass the test on the first attempt. Students can also opt for an Unlimited Course Re-takes upgrade that allows a student to re-take the course if he or she does not pass during the first two attempts. Online traffic school completed through GoToTrafficSchool is easy to follow and simple to complete for all drivers.

iDriveSafely is arguably the fastest online traffic school in California as they do not have a course timer. That means you can just skip through each page over and over again until you get to one of the quizzes. Since the quizzes are so simple, you should breeze right through it without having to read anything. If you fail a quiz, don’t even worry about it. You just have to take a different version of it over again. You can’t fail this traffic school so there’s really not much to be worried about. Just make sure you don’t upgrade to their video-based course as the text-based traffic school course will be much faster. Oh, and in case you’re worried, they are a certified course in California, they’ve had more than 5 million people “graduate” from their courses, they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, they offer 24/7/365 live customer support, and you can log in or out of the course whenever you want. So yeah, it’s pretty legit.
At the end of the course, you will take an online multiple-choice final exam. The California Department of Motor Vehicles allows students two attempts to pass the final exam. Most students pass the exam on their first attempt. The final exam is “open book,” allowing you to review material in the course before answering a question. Safe2Drive does not charge any additional fees to take the final exam a second time. If you happen to fail the final exam twice, the California DMV requires you to register and take this course again. Safe2Drive will not issue refunds for students who fail the final exam twice.
"Was able to get thru this online course in record time. Format was 4 sections of reading material and a quiz (4 multiple choice questions) at the end of each section. Open book so you can guarantee the right answer. Then a final test of 25 questions, also open book. Much better than going to an instructor-led 8hr class! $5 was all it cost. They had a few add'l upgrades but don't think they're necessary. Thanks 5 Bucks Traffic School for making it relatively pain-free after paying a painfully expensive traffic ticket!"

Each county clerk has their own procedure. Typically there is a form to fill out when you pay your traffic ticket to elect traffic school. Be aware that if you pay your fine and do not elect traffic school then you will receive the points for the violation and your case will be closed. You cannot decide to take traffic school in Florida after you have paid the fine.

When choosing a traffic school, make sure you select one that is DMV-approved such as TrafficSchoolToGo.com. Then you just have to make sure you complete the course and ensure the completion certificate is submitted to the court by the deadline provided. TrafficSchoolToGo.com removes the hassle by automatically submitting your certificate of completion to the DMV, who submits it to the court.
Registering for a California traffic course can help drivers to improve their driving record. While driving school ticket dismissal is not an option in California, drivers can attend traffic school once every 18 months to “mask” traffic citations. Drivers who want to attend a CA driving school for ticket masking must meet the additional qualifications for traffic school eligibility.

If you are paying by check or money order, make it payable to Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo and write "TRAFFIC SCHOOL" and the citation/ticket number on it. If the citation/ticket includes a correctable violation the Court must receive proof of correction before you will be allowed to request Traffic School. If you mail the proof, allow approximately 10 days for delivery and processing.

If you meet the qualifications and want to attend Traffic School, complete the bottom remittance portion of your bail notice to request traffic school and send to the traffic clerk's office at 500 County Center in Redwood City along with a check or money order made payable to the Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo. The Court will mail the necessary forms and information to the address indicated on your notice. You must sign the forms and return them to the Court. You will be given 60 days to complete traffic school.

By clicking the pay and enroll button, you agree that you do not hold a CLASS A, B, or C commercial driver’s license (CDL); that your license was not classified CDL on the date that the citation was issued. If you proceed with enrollment and you possess a CDL, you will not receive credit for the school and the school fee becomes non-refundable. CDL holders are prohibited from enrolling in a traffic diversion program for the purpose of masking the driving history per T.C.A §55-10-301
Reduce Insurance Premiums: When you take traffic school online, you will learn current traffic laws and safe driving techniques. And better yet, you might save yourself some cash! Insurance carriers in most states offer up to a 10% discount to drivers who complete a DMV-approved traffic school course, and you can meet that requirement through an online class.

Certificate of Completion: As soon as you receive your Certificate for completing the course you need to turn it into the Clerk of Court Traffic Division in the county that issued you the ticket to avoid points being added to your license. When you receive a ticket, it will have information on how to pay as well as the deadline to do so. For most tickets, everything you need to do can be completed through mail or online. If you receive a ticket for a misdemeanor, you will have to go to court. The "Notice to Appear" found on your ticket will include the name of the court that will decide your case, the deadline to pay the ticket or go to court, and what you must do to respond to the ticket. Most courts will also follow up with a courtesy notice sent in the mail around two to three weeks after you receive your ticket. If that time passes and you have not received your courtesy notice, you can also contact the court in the county you received the ticket with any questions you have. That court will be listed in the "Notice to Appear," or you access court contact information.
