While DriversEd.com is mostly focused on providing online driver education programs, they also have online traffic school available in California. I originally only had my top 3 fastest California online traffic schools on this page, but I figured having MORE options is never a bad thing. This online traffic school is about as good as they get. For the most part, it is a revamped and very shortened version of their online driver’s ed course. Some of the videos can take a little time to get through, which slows this course down a little more than the other traffic schools I’ve shared here, but it is still fast and having some videos instead of page after page of text certainly helps to break things up a little bit. This is also an extremely easy online traffic school in California with simple quizzes throughout. If for some reason you don’t like my top 3 options, this is a high quality, easy, and fast online traffic school that is certified in the entire state of California.
Each of these agencies had different requirements regarding submission, verification, testing and timing. Now that National Traffic and Safety Administration (NTSA) and Coordinated Court Systems (CCS) are no longer involved, the online traffic school process in California is much smoother. California Traffic Safety Institute (CTSI) continues to assist the DMV in the CA traffic school world by monitoring licensed traffic schools and ensuring compliance. If you recently received a citation you’ll want to make sure that you register with a licensed DMV traffic school. California drivers can Click Here to learn more about our DMV licensed program.
Certificate of Completion: As soon as you receive your Certificate for completing the course you need to turn it into the Clerk of Court Traffic Division in the county that issued you the ticket to avoid points being added to your license. If the course is required by a Judge Order or Court Order then immediately turn in your Certificate to the supplied address.
Our online 4-hour BDI course is broken up into 7 easy modules. Each module has a required minimum time which allows you to take as much time as you need for each section beyond the minimum time requirement. Once you finish the modules, you can take the final exam up to 3 times until you pass with a grade of 80% or higher. Once you pass your final exam, we will begin processing your certificate of completion. Streaming and DVD courses both have 7 modules with end of module quizzes. Students need an 80% to pass each quiz and have 3 attempts to pass. If you fail 4 times you will have to re-register, but at no additional charge. Also, unlike the regular online course, streaming has no final exam.
